A Florida woman was arrested on July 7 for driving to Mar-a-Lago while insisting on speaking with President Donald Trump, despite having a suspended license.

Caroline Shaw, 49, from Orlando, allegedly told Secret Service agents outside Trump's club that she had an "urgent message for the president" and admitted to having firearms inside her van.

Shaw is facing charges of driving with a suspended license and failing to register a vehicle, according to an arrest report from the Palm Beach Police Department obtained by USA TODAY.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the Palm Beach Police Department said that officers responded to the president's Florida residence after receiving reports that the United States Secret Service was investigating a suspicious person.

USA TODAY could not immediately find an attorney representing Shaw at this time.
