Who is Tyler Loop? Meet Ravens kicker replacing Justin Tucker

Loop, there it is. The last name of the new Baltimore Ravens placekicker, that is.

Tyler Loop is officially the Ravens' successor to former Baltimore kicker Justin Tucker, whom the team released after 13 seasons in the wake of multiple sexual misconduct allegations.

Loop has big shoes to fill as he fills in for one of the most consistent placekickers in the history of the league.

Tucker is the all-time career record holder for field goal percentage with his 89.1% mark. He also still holds the NFL record for longest field goal ever made in a regular season game with the 66-yard game-winner he made against the Detroit Lions in 2021.

Here's what to know about Loop ahead of his final preseason outing against the Washington Commanders on Saturday:

Tyler Loop Ravens history

The Ravens drafted Loop with the No. 186 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Loop previously played five collegiate seasons with Arizona, the first of which was exclusively as a punter before he transitioned to being the Wildcats' kicker in 2021.

After Loop made five of his six field goals against the Dallas Cowboys in his outing last Saturday, the Ravens officially named the rookie their starting kicker in 2025.
