Kristen Dunst has “given up” correcting people who mispronounce her name.
During a TikTok appearance with Town and Country magazine, the Spider-Man star, 43, revealed that her first name is pronounced “Keersten.”
“But who cares?” the actress laughed, adding that “everyone messes up my name. So I give up, I don’t care.”
The star, who wore an intricately beaded silver minidress for the video appearance, then listed off the versions of her name she’ll answer to. “I don’t blame people.”
During her cover interview with the outlet ahead of the release of her movie Roofman, the veteran star also mused on her next roles, quipping that, “Maybe I can just make a movie where I don’t lose money?”
Dunst told the magazine that she'd like to be in Minecraft 2 — a sequel to the hit video-game flick that is still currently the top-grossing film of 2025 — and noted that her two sons, Ennis, 7, and James, 4, really enjoyed the first movie.
But more than having to have a specific project, Dunst is just looking to make money with her next role. The star has been open about her finances in recent years, telling the BBC in 2024 that she "didn't even think to ask" about equal pay near the beginning of her career.

And while she reveald that she hopes that "the way I carved my path will help other actresses," the Oscar nominee said that she "definitely grew up in a time with major pay disparity between the lead actor and myself, even though I had been in Bring It On and he hadn't, you know what I mean?"

Dunst also revealed to Town and Country that her son James — who she shares with husband Jesse Plemons, 37 — had a terrifying health scare while the family was living in Budapest during the filming of The Entertainment System Is Down.
The family rented a house in the Hungarian capital and enrolled their older son in a local school, but when James developed a health problem, the family was sent back to Los Angeles to be around their loved ones. “It brought us together as a family in a deeper way,” Dunst told the title.
Roofman is in theaters Oct. 10.
