Hayek got fans back in their feels about Fools Rush In as she remembered her friend and former co-star Perry on what would have been his 56th birthday. The actress used Instagram to celebrate Perry and their time working on Fools Rush In.

Fans Remember Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek's Movie, Fools Rush In
The post featured a photo of Perry’s Alex coming home to see what Hayek’s Isabel has done to their home. Hayek also included a video of the first time Isabel took Alex home to meet her family.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the throwback moments and were reminded of how much they love the film.
“One of my absolute FAVORITE movies!! You two together were silver screen magic!! Still heartbroken 💔 losing the greatness that was Matthew Perry 😭,” wrote a fan. One fan expressed, “Such a great movie!!! Love you and Matthew together.”

Mathew Perry Called Fools RushIn His ‘Best Movie’
Fools Rush In didn’t just impact fans, it also meant so much to Hayek and Perry. The latter referred to the romantic comedy as his "best movie" more than once.
Perry wrote in his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing that Fools Rush In “is probably my best movie." When Perry died, Hayek paid tribute to him, revealing that Perry had said the same thing about the film during an Instagram Q&A session.

Despite loving the movie and developing a close relationship, Hayek and Perry’s acting styles were completely different. This made filming challenging at first, but as she mentioned in the tribute to Perry following his passing, they became friends, and often looked back on the movie together.
Fools Rush In is most definitely romantic comedy gold—Hayek and Perry are pure magic together on-screen.
