The 77th Emmy Awards celebrating the best of television and the people behind your favorite shows are less than two weeks away.
Nominations for this year's awards were announced on July 14 during a live ceremony hosted by Harvey Guillén, Brenda Song and Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego.
Leading the pack is Apple TV+'s drama "Severance," with an impressive 27 nods, followed by HBO Max's "The Penguin," with 24. HBO's "The White Lotus" tied for third place with 23 honors, while the network's "The Last of Us" earned 16 nominations. Apple TV+'s "The Studio" also tied the record set in 2024 by "The Bear" for most nominations for a comedy series.
The eligibility dates for the 2024 Emmy Awards apply to shows that aired between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025. Only shows that aired in those 12 months were nominated.

2025 Emmy Awards venue
The 77th Emmy Awards ceremony will be held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The Peacock Theater, with a seating capacity of 7,100, is located within L.A. Live, a 4 million-square foot downtown Los Angeles sports and entertainment district adjacent to Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center. The theater, which opened in October 2007, offers 12,000 square feet of VIP and hospitality areas and 10 dressing rooms, according to the venue's website.
Emmy Awards have been held at the venue since 2008, formerly known as Microsoft Theater and Nokia Theatre before. The theatre was named Peacock Theater in June 2023 as part of a multi-year naming rights agreement between AEG, a sports and live entertainment company that developed L.A. Live and NBC Universal’s streaming service, according to a press release.
When are the 2025 Emmy Awards?
The 77th Emmy Awards are scheduled to take place on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025 from 8-11 p.m. ET (5-8 p.m. PT).

Comedian Nate Bargatze has been tapped to make his Emmy-hosting debut, the Television Academy announced April 16.
"It’s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show and I’m beyond excited to work with CBS to create a night that can be enjoyed by families around the world," Bargatze said in a statement.
Father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy hosted the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards last year.

How to watch the 2025 Emmy Awards
The Emmy Awards ceremony will air on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT and will also be livestreamed for Paramount+ subscribers with Showtime. Other Paramount+ subscribers will have access to the ceremony the following day.
